Established in 1997 by an American missionary couple, Youth for Christ Guinea-Bissau embraced the Generation 21 vision of equipping young leaders to bring spiritual, economic, and social transformation to their nation. What began as a simple outreach has grown into a thriving, self-sustaining youth training center in the heart of Bissau, where over 1,000 young people pass through weekly. Through programs like the English Language Institute, Computer Training School, Theological Seminary of Bissau (STEB), G-21 Recording Studio, multi-sport complex, Instituto Canzion music school, English Teacher Training School, restaurant, and a 6-room guesthouse, the center both trains and ministers to thousands of young people while generating its own funding—a rare and powerful example of sustainable ministry.
