Maple Leaf Equine Sanctuary
Maple Leaf Equine Sanctuary is a holistic equine sanctuary dedicated to healing horses who need a second chance at life. We are a veteran (U.S. Air Force) owned equine sanctuary and here to assist veterans as well. While we will not turn away a horse in need, our main focus however will be the Wild Mustangs and their struggle for survival. Today there are approximately 96,000 Wild Horses and the Bureau of Land Management is trying to reduce this number to 26,000. There are Wild Mustangs sitting in holding pens while their spirit is broken waiting on their fate too be decided. MLES along with your help will do whatever we can to help them regain that spirit. The second part of our mission is educating and bringing awareness to the general public on proper care of our equine friends.

Maple Leaf Equine Sanctuary About Us MLES is a veteran owned horse sanctuaryrescue dedicated to the protection and rehabilitation of the Wild Mustang horses who are currently being squeezed out of their habitat. Other issues threatening their lives are the excessive drought conditions shortages of water and forage and herding them into pens thus breaking their spirit. In October 2021 the Maple Leaf Equine Sanctuary became a 501 c3 nonprofit organization. We are a group of passionate staff and volunteers whose love of horses want to give these magnificent creatures a new lease on life and a renewed Spirit.
