Catchmup Foundation
CatchMUp Foundation’s mission is to interrupt the cycle of poverty for North Carolina’s most vulnerable and marginalized youth by increasing access to post-secondary education, a proven anti-poverty strategy. Low income and disabled students are less likely to enroll and even less likely graduate, because, despite popular belief, academic success is more strongly tied to the economic stability of a student’s family than to the talent or efforts of the student. And we specifically aim to fill these gaps in support. We provide funding for housing, medical care, food, and non-tuition education expenses and mentorship to youths who have secured admission and tuition funding to accredited institutions (4-year or community colleges, or vocational/tech programs).
