She’s 89, going on 90, and full of life, laughter, and excellent recipes. After losing her husband, Krystyna was suddenly shopping and cooking for one. A friend brought her to the pantry, and everything changed. “Without the pantry, I’d have to do things differently. It helps a lot.” Krystyna still loves to cook. She makes chicken with green veggies, and big pots of soup that last for days. Because of the pantry, she’s able to eat healthy, stretch her SNAP benefits, and still enjoy the foods she loves. Her story is a reminder: access to healthy, nutritious food changes everything. (fb)
