Stop the Bleeding

Stop The Bleeding is a small grass-roots Boston-based homeless charity that puts on benefit concerts to raise money for area homeless shelters, soup kitchens and homeless help organizations. We focus on smaller lesser-funded places where the money will go farther, and we donate 100% of the money raised - we don't keep any of it. Ever.The worthy places we currently fundraise for:The Lowell Transitional Living Center homeless shelter in Lowell, MARenewal House - a domestic violence shelter for homeless women and children in Boston, MA Veterans' Transition House homeless veterans shelter in New Bedford, MAThe Mustard Seed soup kitchen in Worcester, MASancta Maria House homeless women's shelter in Boston, MALucy's Hearth homeless women and children's shelter in Middletown, RIThe Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter in Nashua, NHCurrently our function is to help existing organizations, but in the near future we hope to open our own walk-in help center for the homeless. We put on seven benefit shows a year, one each for 7 different places. While we keep our overhead low, we do run into expenses such as vehicle rentals to transport equipment to our live shows, website costs, printer ink and paper for fliering, etc.All donations are greatly appreciated and will be put to good use, as we chip away at the epidemic that is homelessness.
