THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE (FOP), LAS VEGAS LODGE 1, FORMED A TEAM CALLED 444NRT-OFFICER NEEDS HELP EMERGENCY NEVADA RESPONSE TEAM IN ORDER TO HAVE A COLLABORATED RESPONSE TO EMERGENCY SITUATIONS INVOLVING POLICE OFFICERS. THIS TEAM RESPONDS WITH A RELIEF/SUPPLY TRAILER TO DISASTERS AND/OR EMERGENCIES, BOTH ENVIRONMENTAL AND MAN-MADE, OF SUCH MAGNITUDE THAT LIVES OF MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMUNITY ARE NEGATIVELY IMPACTED. THE GOAL IS TO DEPLOY THE TEAM TO SUCH DISASTERS AND PROVIDE THE INVOLVED OFFICERS WITH SERVICES TO RELIEVE STRESSES FACED BY THE "FIRST RESPONDERS" IN ORDER FOR THEM TO FOCUS THEIR ATTENTION ON THE ENFORCEMENT/CONTAINMENT JOB AT HAND. THE SERVICES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, FOOD, DRINKS, SHELTER, DECOMPRESSION, AND COUNSELING TO ALL ON SCENE. OUR NRT WILL NOT ONLY ASSIST CLARK COUNTY OFFICERS, BUT THOSE IN SURROUNDING STATES WHEN NEEDED. WE PLAN TO EXPAND OUR OUTREACH WITH A FULLY FUNCTIONAL MOBILE KITCHEN.
