Charter House Coalition
A club for Middlebury students interesting in helping the Charter House Coalition. Charter House Coalition (CHC) is a growing community of volunteers in central Vermont that provides meals and emergency housing for individuals and families in need. The CHC vision is to be an organization that lives and is known for the ideals of community being community, neighbor helping neighbor whatever the need. In that spirit we endeavor to be the vehicle that connects those who are willing to share their personal talents and resources with those who need the support of the community for shelter, food, and personal well-being. Hundreds of personal interactions each week between volunteers and guests brings about a level of joy, harmony, and sense of belonging that is at least as valuable as the tangible benefits of shelter and food. All are touched by the experience.
