We recognize the Smokey Hollow Community project as a pioneering solution to addressing a local housing shortage and supporting a population often forgotten but critical to support. Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh The concept for Smokey Hollow Community centers on the need for safe engaging and permanent housing for adults with IDD. Intentionally a smallerscale building to encourage comfort and social interactions individual onebedroom apartments allow residents to maximize their independent living skills and connect with other residents in thoughtfully designed common areas when desired.
