Mile High Rescue
MHR is committed to saving & rehoming equines while providing a space for horse and rider to grow. Mile High Rescue (MHR) is dedicated to saving the lives of all animals in need. Currently MHR focuses on rescuing horses from auction, slaughter, neglect and abusive environments. We provide refuge, rehabilitation and training for all incoming rescues. MHR gives rescues the opportunity to heal physically, mentally and emotionally while they find their forever home. Our approach to rehabilitation is through support and positive training techniques, taking time and allowing horses to recover and learn at their own pace. Additionally, we offer educational courses, work-shops, clinics and camps, as well as participate in community outreach programs. It is through education that we aim to create long-term solutions for equine neglect, surrender, and euthanasia.
