Officer Barrett bought shoes for a homeless veteran who had only flip flops. His actions inspired journalist Abby Sullivan Moore to found Footwear with Care. Together, they now help the unhoused in Hartford. We provide new boots, shoes, socks, medical foot exams, bus tickets and other aid to children and adults facing homelessness in Hartford, CT. We also connect them to other essential services.
