Woman's Foundation - Health & Wellness Education Provider

Acadiana's leading center of health & wellness education by providing quality learning opportunities and programs to women, youth, and healthcare providers. The Woman's Foundation, Inc. collaborates with community leaders and organizations to seek avenues for maintaining a well-informed and educated community, including physicians, professionals and the general public. The following series of activities and services allow WFI to achieve and fulfill this purpose: Continuing Medical Education, Public Education Programs, and a Nursing Scholarship Program. In further support of this mission, a regional grants program was established in 1988.

Since 1980 Womans Foundation strives to be a center of educational excellence by providing quality learning opportunities to a variety of groups in Acadiana. The Foundation has two targeted avenues of education health and wellness programs offered to the general public and accredited programs and activities for physicians and healthcare professionals. In addition to direct programs Womans Foundation supports the education of local nurses through an annual scholarship program for students attending UL Lafayette and LSUEunice. Whenever possible the Foundation also offers grants to groups and agencies that are making an impact in the lives of women and children.
