Uxbridge Historical Society HOME CONTACT More Located at the heart of the Blackstone Valley Uxbridge Massachusetts was incorporated in 1727. Uxbridge was originally part of the Western District of Mendon. Located in southeast Worcester County the town evolved from primarily agricultural to a mixed agricultural and industrial economy during the 19th and 20th centuries as one of the earliest manufacturers of American made textiles. Uxbridge has a rich history from the Native American people through the American Revolution and on to today.
