Founding and History
LCC held its first worship service in the boardroom of the La Quinta Inn in Layton, Utah, under the leadership of founding pastor David Martin, who continues to serve in that role. In November 1998, the church adopted its current Constitution and Articles of Faith, and by April 25, 1999, it transitioned to an elder-led governance structure, aligning itself with New Testament teachings. In April 2009, Liberty Christian Church acquired a permanent facility in Sunset, Utah, where it conducts worship and services to this day. The church emphasizes principles such as sound doctrine, biblical leadership, and active worship through service.[1][3]
Mission and Beliefs
Liberty Christian Church aims to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to minister to its members and the broader community through various means, including teaching, counseling, and mission work. The church adheres to the "five solas," which encapsulate its core beliefs derived from biblical scripture. It is committed to sound biblical teaching and fostering a community grounded in faith and service to God.[1][4]
