PA Connecting Communities
The Mission of PA Connecting Communities is to empower individuals with disabilities with opportunities to improve their quality of life. PA CONNECTING COMMUNITIES (PACC) PROVIDES SERVICES TO AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY DISABLED PERSONS AND ELDERLY PERSONS IN PENNSYLVANIA. PACC'S GOAL IS TO DELIVER THE TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCES NEEDED TO FUNCTION AT SCHOOL, WORK, AND IN THE GENERAL COMMUNITY, AND TO IMPROVE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE. PACC WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS GOAL BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL CLASSES, SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, HEALTH AND FITNESS CLASSES AND CULTURAL OPPORTUNITIES. MANY PERSONS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE FAILURE AT SCHOOL, WORK, OR WITHIN THE COMMUNITY BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT ACQUIRED THE BASIC LIFE SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL. PACC'S PROGRAMS WILL LEAD TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF LIFE SKILLS AND SELF ESTEEM WHICH WILL ENHANCE SUCCESS AT SCHOOL, WORK, AND WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.
