🚨 Big Win for the CPA Profession in Texas! 🎉 The Texas House has passed SB 522, sending it to the Governor for signature. This bill modernizes and individualizes CPA practice mobility, ensuring that well-qualified out-of-state CPAs have the ability to practice in Texas. With both SB 522 and SB 262 (additional CPA pathway legislation) now headed to the Governor’s desk, Texas becomes one of the first states to pass both mobility and pathways legislation — marking a major milestone for the profession. TXCPA will continue working with the Governor’s office to ensure these bills are signed into law.
