The Institute for Environmental Solutions is an independent non-profit organization that delivers scientific solutions to improve our health and environment. The IES Tree Project improves the environment and community health in Colorado cities using tree science. The Tree Project's major activities include six successful tree planting initiatives, including four educational programs. IES's Chemical Footprint Project Team initiated the Reduce Your Chemical Footprint Program to reduce water pollution from CECs. We will use social and behavioral science methods to demonstrate that it is better to prevent the use of personal care and household cleaning products that contain trace amounts of harmful chemicals than to treat water that has been polluted with these chemicals.
