NCPIRG, the North Carolina Public Interest Research Group, is a state-based, citizen-funded advocacy group that promotes the public interest. NCPIRG Education Fund works to protect consumers and promote good government. We believes the health of our democracy relies on the vigorous civic participation of all North Carolinians. For that reason, we work to provide young people with the citizenship skills they need to be active lifetime participants in our democracy. Since 2012, we've expanded our campus program to more than a dozen campuses, trained over 800 student volunteers, and made more than 215,000 personalized getoutthevote contacts around elections. Today, our staff continue to engage students across the state in efforts to create a more politically aware and active student population. We work to achieve this mission through a civic engagement and leadership training program.
