The Society of Women Engineers SWE founded in 1950 is a nonprofit educational service organization dedicated to supporting women engineers andencouraging young women to consider an engineering education. The Los Angeles Sectionwith over 900 membersis one of the largest of the Societys 400 sections. Our community is structured into three main themes Professional Development Outreach K12 Collegiate GraduateAcademia and Member Engagement and there are many ways to get involved with a variety of fun events and rewarding volunteering opportunities yearround.
