Over the next few months, we want to spotlight our amazing team that works so tirelessly behind the scenes for AzTEA! This week let's celebrate the one who keeps our finances organized and on track, Bethany Purcell! According to Bethany, "those who have a passion for the education of our youth are those who are passionate about AzTEA." Bethany received her accounting degree from University of Alaska in 1982, at which time she and her husband opened up the first computerized accounting and tax service in Anchorage, working with small businesses in Alaska. When they moved from Alaska to Arizona in 1986, they established our business there. Along with her accounting business, she worked for about 6 years in the business office of Apache Junction USD under Tech Director Jon Castelhano, where she was introduced to AzTEA about 12 years ago. She was fortunate to be able to add AzTEA as one of her accounting clients, which she has thoroughly enjoyed. After the passing of her husband, she moved to Michigan in 2024 to be closer to family, from where she still enjoys serving the financial needs of AzTEA digitally. #makeAzTEAyourPLN #EdTech (fb)
