Architects of Hope Inc

The mission of our organization is to inspire youth to become Architects of Hope (AOH) as civically engaged leaders for their school and community. AOH goals are moved by social justice issues such as poverty, health, environment, and prejudice at our local schools. These issues are causing at-risk students to underperform in school. Our goal is to create student-generated solutions to these problems, while also providing 21st century education and life skills to our students hosted and presented by local leaders and professionals in the community. By the time our students graduate high school, our goal is that they are prepared for the academic rigor of college, and have strengthened their social-emotional skills to be ready for challenges that come along with it.

Mission

The mission of Architects of Hope Inc. is to inspire young people to become civically engaged leaders for their schools and communities. The organization addresses social justice issues such as poverty, health, environment, and prejudice, which often lead to underperformance in school among at-risk students. By facilitating student-generated solutions to these problems, Architects of Hope provides 21st-century education and life skills, ensuring students are prepared for college and equipped with strong social-emotional skills[1][4].

The organization works closely with local leaders and professionals to deliver these programs.

Founders

Damone and Jairon Jackson, Sacramento natives and West Campus High School alumni, co-founded Architects of Hope Inc. Both attended California State University, Sacramento, where they were involved in various extracurricular activities and leadership roles. Their educational backgrounds include degrees in Communication Studies and Criminal Justice, respectively[1].

Goals

The ultimate goal is to prepare students for college rigor and equip them with the necessary social-emotional skills to face future challenges. By fostering a sense of community engagement and civic leadership, Architects of Hope aims to create positive change in Sacramento's inner-city communities[1][4].
