Guide Relief Program
Supporting Fishing Guides On and Off the Water. The Guide Relief Program (GRP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial support to guides in crisis through small grants. We aim to alleviate some of the financial burdens that guides may face during difficult times. In addition to financial assistance, we also offer access to two months of free and confidential mental health services. We understand the importance of prioritizing the mental health of guides and strive to provide the necessary support that they need.

Yancey County school teacher, Brian Hill, and Kyle Burnette, of Southern Drifter Outfitters, forged a deeper friendship as they worked closely to support their community after Hurricane Helene devastated the Blue Ridge area of Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee. The recovery effort continues many months later, with countless lives and businesses still rebuilding. The guide community remains in need of help to get back on their feet—and you can make a difference.
