Yet, access to capital and social networks remains one of the biggest barriers to entry for entrepreneurs – particularly for female and minority founders. With 80 percent of entrepreneurs never accessing traditional financing and 78 percent of Venture Capital spent in California, New York and Massachusetts, we are seeing an exodus of founders as they leave the Midwest in search of capital and a more collaborative environment. We aim to change that by democratizing access to social capital and making it cheaper for technology entrepreneurs to launch their business in Oklahoma.
