The Springville Preservation Society SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION About the Springville Preservation Society The Springville Preservation Society was formed in April 1992 to protect and maintain Springvilles historic downtown and to collect and preserve artifacts of the areas history. The Societys first major accomplishment was petitioning to add Springville to the National Register of Historic Places. In 1997 2500 acres of central Springville encompassing the business district and adjacent older neighborhoods including almost 140 historic structures was designated as a National Historic District. The Preservation Society currently owns three properties in Springville the former Masonic Lodge at the east end of downtown Springville a 200yearold cabin that was once part of a hotel in nearby St.
