The Alliance is a non-profit advocating for affordable, equitable, environmentally responsible energy systems in Louisiana. Advocating for equitable, affordable, environmentally responsible community-based energy. The Alliance serves Louisiana's 1.8 million electric and gas ratepaters by promoting equitable, affordable and sustainable energy policies. The staff and volunteers of the organization conduct community education campaigns, help citizens and businesses become more energy efficient, promote citizen participation in the the decision-making process, advocate for environmentally-sensitive, pro-consumer energy policies, and fight global warming, while working for lower energy bills. As the only combination consumer and environmental organization based in Louisiana, the role of the Alliance is pivotal for organizing citizens and providing a voice on energy-related issues. Through our research, analysis, education outreach and litigation, we have saved Louisiana ratepayers over $ 1 billion.
