Our Paws for Resilience group had a celebration visit to remember! Therapy Dog Ellie, her handler Volunteer Barb, and Helping Hand Volunteer Mikaela, have been steady, comforting friends for this group all semester - helping the kids build trust, express emotions, and feel safe. 🥰 To make this final celebration visit extra special, Mikaela brought along a new friend - her own dog Renegade, who just earned his therapy dog certification and couldn’t wait to join the fun! Mikaela shared that the photo of Brody (pictured holding Therapy Dog Ellie and smiling at the camera), is extra special. "Brody was very reserved when we started, so his huge smile is awesome."
