Our final #LCState Division Outstanding Graduate is Derek Repp of the Technical & Industrial Division. 👋 Repp is from Colfax, Washington, and just graduated with an associates degree in information technology, networking and security. He took his final steps as an LC State student on Friday. For him, it was the ability to continue working while studying at a small school that made LC State the perfect college to attend. It was here that he was able to grow his information technology consulting firm, connect with the IT industry, and be an instructional aide. He started his consulting firm, TekConnect Consulting, in February of 2024 while attending LC State full-time. Repp said his education deepened his knowledge of configuring networking appliances, helped him understand and follow best practice, and mitigate the risk of a hack or “bad-actor” gaining access to sensitive customer or company information. “It was cool that I was able to have lots of one-on-one time with one of my instructors, Josh Tyler, to ask him questions and get his input on things so that I could expand the IT consulting firm that I own,” said Repp. It wasn’t just Tyler who helped Repp; Tyler said Repp was an asset to Tyler, the division, and his fellow classmates. As an instructional aide, Repp helped facilitate the new dual credit program with Region II schools and lead an entry-level LC State course. It was this role that Repp said made his experience at LC State most unique. Upon graduation Repp plans to work for the McGregor Company, where he worked throughout college, as a specialist in the internal solutions department and continue growing his consulting firm. Through TekConnect he hopes to grow his customer base to encompass the Pacific Northwest and possibly further to provide IT consulting services to the agricultural industry and other small/medium-sized businesses. Jeremiah Robbins will return to #LCState as the 12th head coach in Warrior baseball history ahead of the 2025-26 school year. “With three national titles and a sterling reputation already established at LC State and within the NAIA, Jeremiah Robbins is uniquely qualified to, once again, lead the Warriors,” LC State President Cynthia Pemberton said. “We’re excited he has decided to return and look forward to our baseball program’s continued success.” Learn more about Robbins and his position below! ⬇ (fb)
