One summer afternoon in an Ohio park, two families met for the first time—forever linked by love, loss, and the gift of life. Lisa Schein, whose vibrant 8-year-old daughter Maddy tragically passed away in an ATV accident in 2022, made the courageous decision to donate her daughter’s organs. One of those gifts saved the life of another 8-year-old, Mireya Moody, who was facing heart failure due to a rare condition. When Lisa placed a stethoscope on Mireya’s chest and heard her daughter’s heartbeat once more, Mireya reached out and hugged her tightly—a moment of healing, connection, and unimaginable strength. 💓 Since her transplant, Mireya has thrived.
