Our mission: To improve the physical and mental health of Park County Residents.Rocky Mountain Rural Health serves Park County, Colorado which is nearly the size of Delaware at over 2,200 square miles. Within the county there is no hospital, no practicing medical doctor, no urgent care clinic, no pharmacy, no durable medical goods provider, etc. Residents must travel out of county for virtually every health related need. The topography of Park County is mountainous with elevations exceeding 9,000 feet. Difficult mountain passes must be traversed from any part of the county to reach health services. Rocky Mountain Rural Health helps people work around the challenges facing Park County residents. Our assistance takes many forms. We help people:- sign up for insurance through the State's health insurance marketplace- find primary care providers, specialists, etc- obtain non-emergency medical transportation or mileage reimbursement- by bringing to the county seat, (in partnership with St. Joseph's), a mobile mammography unit twice per year and providing follow-up services for those that need further diagnostics and/or treatment- financially that are facing a medical crisis- find prescription drug assistance- by bringing the services of RMRH to their community at weekly or biweekly outreach events- through the services of our Community Health Workers by offering blood pressure and pulse oximetry screenings- with our Community Assistance Fund that need help with non-crisis health issues
