Dedicated to adding all ages recreation events and destinations near downtown Lafayette, California. All Ages Recreation Downtown is dedicated to bringing no-cost recreation programs and destinations to downtown Lafayette, California residents and visitors of all ages and abilities. The 2021 census stated 4.5% of Lafayette’s residents live below the poverty line, Many live in downtown apartments without backyards or areas for recreation. Downtown Lafayette has the highest density, lowest income, and greatest diversity within Lafayette, yet has the least access to recreation within walking distance. We are dedicated to serving underserved populations, including seniors and young children, by providing engagement opportunities that will sustain our future strength as a community. AARD is in a matching agreement with the City of Lafayette for two projects, Gazebo and Leigh Creekside Parks.
