About the organization

Glassroots 501c3 recycles your glass to build climate resilience in New Orleans and Southeast Louisiana. We are reusing and transforming traditional glass waste into resources for our local communities. Our impact In 2018 only 107 tons of glass were recycled across the entire state of Louisiana. Since opening the first Glassroots dropoff in fall 2022 we have expanded to 17 dropoffs in New Orleans and Baton Rouge and have helped Glass Half Full recycle over 4000 tons of glass.
