Wilson Oasis

Wilson Oasis is a nonprofit organization based in Charlotte, North Carolina, dedicated to providing mental health services and resources. The organization was founded in 2019 and is named in honor of the founder's late fiancé. It focuses on addressing disparities in access to mental health care, particularly among Black men, who often face significant barriers in seeking and maintaining mental health services.

Wilson Oasis aims to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness and promote positive mental health within the community. One of the key initiatives is the Wilson Oasis Scholarship Program, which funds counseling and coaching sessions with licensed professionals for Black men aged 18 and older.

Since its inception, Wilson Oasis has successfully provided over 300 counseling sessions and hosted numerous community mental health resource events. It has partnered with nearly 20 local therapists to ensure comprehensive support is available to those in need. The organization is also supported by initiatives like United Way of Central Carolinas, which helps amplify its mission to enhance community well-being by addressing health disparities.
