THE OBJECT OF QUEEN CITY YACHT CLUB SHALL BE TO ENCOURAGE YACHTING, TO PROMOTE THE SCIENCE OF SEAMANSHIP AND NAVIGATION, AND TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN A SUITABLE CLUBHOUSE, MOORAGE, AND OTHER FACILITIES FOR THE USE AND RECREATION OF ITS MEMBERS.

It is known for its involvement in the Special People's Cruise, which provides opportunities for local residents with challenges to experience boating. Members also participate in lighted boat parades during Christmas and in various events like the Opening Day Parade and cruise events.

The Queen City Yacht Club has over 550 active memberships, representing more than 1,000 power and sail boaters. It provides its members with exclusive moorage slips up to 60 feet in length at its main Seattle location. Additionally, it has outstations in Bainbridge Island's Eagle Harbor and the San Juan Islands’ Deer Harbor, offering members serene settings for relaxation and social activities.

Objectives

The primary objectives of the Queen City Yacht Club are to encourage yachting and promote the science of seamanship and navigation. It supports junior sailing programs and participates in various local boating events, fostering a strong community of sailors and maritime enthusiasts.

Events

Throughout the year, the club hosts numerous events such as Friday Night Socials, predicted log races, and sail races. It also sponsors the First of Season predicted log contest and participates in other log races in the Puget Sound area. Its members are actively involved in the local racing scene, ensuring a vibrant and engaging environment for those interested in boating.
