The Bead Society

The Bead Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with an Employer Identification Number (EIN) of 953899451. It is dedicated to the study, discussion, and shared knowledge of beads in the United States and internationally.

Mission and Activities

The mission of The Bead Society is to disseminate knowledge about beads and related subjects to a wide audience. The organization aims to foster a supportive environment where individuals can share ideas, learn from each other, and engage in creative expressions related to beads. Members include collectors, researchers, dealers, jewelry designers, and beadwork weavers, reflecting a diverse range of interests and expertise.

The Bead Society hosts monthly virtual meetings from September through June, featuring lectures by bead experts and member presentations. Occasional in-person meetings are also organized. Additionally, the organization conducts Bead Bazaars and Jewelry Pop-Up events that showcase beads, beading supplies, and finished jewelry pieces crafted by artists. These events provide opportunities for networking, learning, and acquiring unique art pieces.
