Prevent the Aftermath Inc

Prevent the Aftermath, Inc. (PTA) is a 501(c)(3) that developed the only fully comprehensive training program that teaches law enforcement, prosecuting attorneys, and mental health professionals to recognize, assess, and prevent active shootings and other forms of targeted violence from occurring. PTA provides the only proactive-based training in the world to first responder threat assessment teams: an unfilled but vital gap in protecting against planned violence including violence in historically disadvantaged communities. PTA is dedicated to fallen Alamogordo N.M. police officer Tony Ferguson who lost his life in the line of duty. In Tony's memory, PTA gives micro grants to community mental health centers and police agencies with a focus on small to mid-sized and rural organizations.
