We’re excited to share some big news: the North Carolina House budget reflects real victories for conservation—thanks to your advocacy for wildlife, clean water, and the lands we all call home. ✅ NC Land and Water Fund – An additional $2 million in non-recurring funds, on top of $28 million in recurring funds. ✅ Parks and Recreation Trust Fund – An additional $2 million in non-recurring funds, also on top of $28 million in recurring funds. ✅ Agricultural Development and Preservation Trust Fund – A $2 million recurring increase for Farmland Preservation, plus an additional $700,000 in non-recurring funds for Fiscal Year 2025-2026, with a total of 7.8M towards conserving working farmland. ✅ Saved the Department of Environmental Education – Ensuring continued environmental awareness and stewardship for future generations. This progress shows that when North Carolinians speak up for conservation, our leaders listen. But the work is far from over.
