Founded in 1994, The Builders Association (TBA) is an OBIE award-winning NYC company that has created a distinctive voice by producing original shows based on contemporary life. The company uses technology to extend the boundaries of theater and to reflect on how we live in the 21st century. Our productions have been presented in NYC at BAM, The Public Theater, The Kitchen, St. Ann’s Warehouse, the Whitney and the Guggenheim, among others. Over the past 19 years, we have collaborated on 13 productions and become one of the most active touring experimental theater companies in the country, representing New York throughout the world. Directed by Marianne Weems, innovative collaborations are at the heart of TBA's productions.
