Shifting Gears brings car enthusiasts together and organizes car rallies to raise funds for their Car Appreciation Preservation Program CAPP, a non profit to provide guidance to young people collaborating with Marin County's Superintendent of Schools. OUR PRIMARY PURPOSES AND OBJECTIVES ARE TO ADVANCE THE INTEREST IN, APPRECIATION FOR, ENTHUSIASM ABOUT, AND ENJOYMENT OF AUTOMOBILES IN THE COMMUNITY; PROMOTE THE EDUCATION OF THE COMMUNITY, INCLUDING YOUNGER PEOPLE, ABOUT AUTOMOTIVE CULTURE AND AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY; INSPIRE OWNERSHIP, OPERATION, RESTORATION, AND PRESERVATION OF VINTAGE, CLASSIC AND MODERNIZED, EXOTIC, RACING AND SPECIAL EDITION CARS; SUPPORT PARTICIPATION IN EVENTS CELEBRATING THE AUTOMOBILE - SUCH AS CAR DRIVES, TOURS, RALLIES, SEMINARS, SHOWS AND MEETS - AND THE GOODWILL AND FELLOWSHIP ENGENDERED WHEN CAR ENTHUSIASTS GATHER FOR CAR-RELATED ACTIVITIES AND SOCIAL EVENTS; AND PROMOTE, ORGANIZE, AND OPERATE AN ANNUAL SHIFTING GEARS USA RALLY.

In the News CTE and CAPPPrograms The Shifting Gears Rally in addition to bringing local and international car enthusiasts together to enjoy the camaraderie of an automotive rally experience currently raises funds and awareness for Shifting Gears USAs Car Appreciation and Preservation Program CAPP. CAPP is a nonprofit program dedicated to providing guidance and philanthropic aid to young people for developing appreciation and enjoyment of the automobile in conjunction with the Marin County Superintendent of Schools.
