Time to wake up the bog garden exhibit on the Fen Trail. It may not feel like spring, but plenty of green pitcher plants are just under the garden dieback. Did you know that a dedicated gardener can make a bog garden in a matter of weeks by mimicking the moist, acidic conditions found in natural bogs? Bog gardens provide habitat for a range of plant species that may not thrive in conventional gardens, functioning as little ecosystems for frogs, insects, and other wildlife. (fb)
