We’re excited to highlight the success of our recent MSICS Level 1 Course at Stanford University! Designed to provide early hands-on exposure to manual small incision cataract surgery, the course featured both a comprehensive lecture and wet lab session, with 11 ophthalmology residents participating. This course was led by Dr. Bethlehem Mekonnen and Dr. Geoff Tabin, who brought outstanding instruction and mentorship to the residents. It was Dr. Mekonnen’s first time coordinating the course, and she did an exceptional job ensuring the day was educational and engaging. Our sincere thanks go to the Stanford team for their support, and to Dr. Ann Caroline Fisher, who supported our efforts during the coordination process.
