MADI DONATIONS INC
MADI stands for Make a Difference Intimates. For every apparel item we sell through our for-profit MADI Apparel (est. 2013), we donate a pair of underwear to women in domestic violence shelters, homeless shelters and rape clinics. Why underwear? Because underwear is the most needed, under-donated article of clothing. Underwear tops the most urgent needs list at most womens' organizations nationwide. MADI Donations launched a pilot jobs-training program for at-risk women to teach them to sew on commercial machines. After completing the program, we contract them to sew. The program's mission is to help to break the cycle of poverty for participants in the program. Let's train women, empower them and provide them with the skills they need for employment and long-term financial success.
