Our Open House OUR OPEN HOUSE A FOSTER CARE RESOURCE With more than 30000 foster children in LA County and nearly half a million in the US Our Open House serves as a resource and community for prospective and current foster and fostertoadopt families and provides ways to support and advocate for children in foster care. STEPS TO FOSTERING WHO WE ARE We are the VanValins. We were introduced to the foster care system through a series of fortunate events and quickly realized that we wanted to open our home and provide an environment that allows children to heal grow and develop healthy attachments that would benefit them for the rest of their lives. Through our process we discovered the need for a community to help answer our questions and walk alongside us on the long journey ahead.
