The Luster Foundation Our History A long history of supporting the underserved. The Luster Foundation is the embodiment of our familys longstanding values passions and commitment to serving our community. Our inspiration to create this foundation was sparked by a desire to continue to the legacy of Orville and Joy Luster two active community leaders in San Francisco who fought for civil rights and advocated for the empowerment of marginalized people. As an interracial couple who valued education and meaningful community service they sought to support people of all ages and skin color in their pursuit of a better life.
