Navy Nurse Corps Association - Preserving History & Sharing Stories Preserving Our Legacy Sharing Moments Today Promoting Our Future Once a Navy Nurse Always a Navy Nurse NNCA Virtual Museum The virtual museum documents how the Navy Nurse Corps has adapted over time to societal changes including uniforms diversity and culture. Artifacts and memorabilia include underwear crocheted by a Navy nurse when she was a prisoner of war during World War II commemorative plates glass and metal syringes a tote bag designed by Frances Walsh and so much more. Preserving History Sharing Stories Oral histories provide historical information using sound and video recordings of interviews with those who have knowledge of past events. Each Navy nurse is a living representative of a time when that individual served.
