Parrot Rescue Center of Costa Rica | Sabalito

Our primary focus is to rescue, rehabilitate and, whenever possible, release parrots back into their natural habitat. Our mission is to provide endangered parrots with the rehabilitation they need to be released back in to the wild. We also educate the public about the importance of wildlife and their environment.

Welcome to the PARROT RESCUE CENTERof COSTA RICA Did you know it39s estimated that one out of every four households in Costa Rica have an illegal parrot. Since 2013 Parrot Rescue Center of Costa Rica has been working to rescue rehabilitate and release any wildlife that comes through our doors. We have a sanctuary with 60 parrots that we are not able to release so they can enjoy being among their own species in large enclosures for the rest of their lives. Some of our other goals include reforestation and educating the public and expanding the facility to continue our mission.
