Capacitar’s mission is to heal ourselves and heal our world. We teach simple holistic wellness practices that help people tap into the wisdom of their own body. Capacitar International is an international network of empowerment and solidarity. It teaches simple and effective practices to enable people to take on their own healing from the wounds of poverty, violence and natural disasters. Capacitar International provides holistic health and wellness education for people suffering from stress or trauma as a result of civil, domestic and political violence, natural disasters, illness such as cancer or HIV/AIDS, and poverty, both within the United States and internationally. It produces, and where applicable, produces and translates training manuals, DVDs, and other learning materials.
