𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗟: We stand in solidarity with 100 other civil society organizations calling on the Greek Government and Parliament to take urgent action for an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza and to ensure unrestricted access to humanitarian aid. As the humanitarian crisis deepens, silence and inaction are not options. Civilians, including children, patients, and aid workers, must be protected - and international law must be upheld. 🔗 Read the full joint statement: https://www.homeproject.org/en/on-the-ground/our-newsroom/palestine-joint-appeal-by-101-civil-society-organizations/ #Gaza #CeasefireNow #HumanRights #Solidarity #TheHOMEProject #NoChildAlone (fb)

𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗧𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛: We successfully completed the 9th year of the Youth to Youth Program, in partnership with ACS Athens (American Community Schools). By harnessing the innate potential of youth to connect across cultural and social divides, this pioneering initiative has created a vibrant platform for peer-to-peer interaction, while fostering inclusion, empathy, and mutual respect within a multicultural educational setting. Right from the start, Youth to Youth embraced a win-win approach, offering tangible benefits to both refugee children and local students. Paired with students from the school, our children received academic support, while also being encouraged to express themselves creatively through arts and sports -helping rebuild their confidence and sense of identity. 🎨📚⚽ At the same time, ACS Athens students took on meaningful roles as mentors, collaborators, and emerging global citizens. Their engagement with refugee peers deepened their intercultural awareness and emotional intelligence, while challenging them to think critically about issues like social justice, privilege, and global responsibility. At the closing ceremony, all participants shared their key takeaways and received a commemorative certificate from Julia Tokatlidou, Dean of Academics at ACS. It was especially moving to hear several graduating seniors from the school express their intention to carry this spirit forward and attempt to create something similar in their university communities in the years ahead. 🎓💬 #YouthToYouth #TheHOMEProject #Integration #ACSAthens #NoChildAlone (fb)
