The building is a 2+1⁄2-story Classical Revival–style structure with a hipped roof, made of hollow tile and sheathed in stucco with brick quoins[2][5]. Over the years, the clubhouse has seen several expansions, including the addition of squash courts in 1929 and a second tennis court in 1968[2].

The Buffalo Tennis and Squash Club is a nonprofit organization designated as a 501(c)(7) social and recreational club. As such, donations to the club are not tax deductible[3].
