Consider supporting LMF this GiveNOLA Day as we focus on education to support the Louisiana State Museum’s Mission to Preserve and Interpret Louisiana history and Culture. Link in Bio. While we do serve a national, and international, audience, we prize our connections to our local New Orleans community and the service we provide to New Orleans students. This school year we hosted students from 23 New Orleans schools, public and private, from elementary to high school, often scheduling whole grade levels for multi-day and multi-site visits. The field trips don’t stop at the end of the school year: the museum stays busy in the summer with visits from NORD and other New Orleans summer camps who beat the heat with a dose of history and culture.  The Louisiana State Museum provides lesson plans, scavenger hunts, gallery guides, and critical reading activities to visitors. Some complimentary learning resources and activities are available on our website. The Cabildo Gallery Guide is available in English, French, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Also offered are architecture walking tours for students, which are a guided tour of the French Quarter with an emphasis on Louisiana State Museum Properties, Urban Development, and Historic Preservation.
