Members of the band performed across the state from Seattle to Olympia. In Seattle, the 2025 Memorial Day Ceremony held at Hing Hay Park hosted by the America Legion Cathay Post 186 had bagpipes for the first time. We played Amazing Grace to honor WWII veteran and Past Commander Bill L. Chin. The Nisei Veterans Committee held a memorial for those who we lost serving our country. A piper played for the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs as they held their Olympia Thunder Run to support veteran wellness. The band performed for the City of Puyallup’s Memorial Day program at the Pioneer Park Pavilion. As many of us are veterans, it is especially meaningful to be a small part of this event.
