Central Furniture Rescue provides furniture and household items at no cost to individuals and families who are transitioning out of experiencing homelessness and into their own places to live. A socially and environmentally responsible option Central Furniture Rescue actively recycles collaborating with city authorities and private organizations to divert as much waste from landfills as possible. To manage our inventory effectively and sustain our mission CFR may sell overstock or highvalue items when necessary.

It's not too late to reserve your tickets for our fundraiser on Thursday, September 4th. Following a successful inaugural event in 2024 that welcomed more than 250 attendees, Furnishing the Future returns with even greater ambitions for impact in 2025. Guests will enjoy delicious food, refreshing drinks, and meaningful connections, all while learning more about the ongoing work of Central Furniture Rescue in the Cedar Rapids community.
